The ‘Letters to Juliet’ Movie (2010), is an all time favourite of mine. It inspired me before I started writing to my husband in my journey to help with my grieving. This movie’s theme has remained in my heart over the years. It isn’t just a love story. It’s about human connection and it’s importance…how the power of the unspoken word can make all the difference in how we perceive ourselves and others.

Two quotes that resonate with me from the movie are:

“You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like – a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for – but I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I’d have the courage to seize it.” I have seized that courage because I have been granted it. Human connection is an amazing feeling.

“‘What’ and ‘if’ are two words as non-threatening as words can be but put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life. What…if? What, if?”
